Gas Gauge Not Working

Hey there, I bought a used 97 Accent that had been sitting for a few years. It started right up and seems to be in really good shape. One problem is the gas gauge is stuck at about 1/8 of a tank. The needle is not sitting at the bottom of the gauge as if the tank is empty. Does anyone have any tricks to unstick the needle or maybe a fuel injector cleaner in the gas tank would help.
