Would 2 15" Diamond Audio CM3's at I think 600 W each with a 1606 hifonics amp fry them, or should I go with the 1206 amp? Ive been told they over rate there stuff a little. But what do you think?

it looks like the RMS on those subs are 1200rms a peice. the 1606 puts out 1600RMS @ 1 ohm so depending on how you have them wired it will be 225rms a peice @ 4 ohm, 600rms a peice at 2 ohm, and 800rms a peice @ 1 ohm. They should be fine and handle it no problems

I 2nd that, it will be fine, just be sure to set gain etc.. . properly. And for Christ sakes, make sure you charing system can handle the load properly. . .. ..

How can I know if it (a 2002 Avalanch) can handle that much power and still start and not mess with the head lights?

you install it and let it rip ..... only way to find out for sure. That's a full size truck, it should have a big enough charging system to handle it.

And though I agree with PaulD, I guess it pretty much boils down to the amount of power your goin to run. Assuming your goin to run at 1 ohm, becuase that woudl be most efficient use of things, 1600 W typically needs around 155 amps. If your alternator can handle this load, then it wont be a problem. If you can determine that it the output if not sufficient, then a HO alternator might be a good option for you, or just a cap. But with the cap, many have mixed emotions about that. It really depends of on how hard you are goin to push your equipment. To the max, or just something that jams HARD ?

But what do you think?I like MA audio I would use the MA2000D it's 1500watts rms @ 1ohm running 14.4volts or 1800watts rms @1ohm running 17.0volts:grinyes:
