looking for some insite on a 97 silverado 1500. 5.7L 4X4. IF you have anything to say about this truck it would be great to know. What is the MPG like on this truck?

22mpg (imp gal) on a 2 wheel drive model with 3.73 gears. Rear diff is the weak spot along with intake manifold gaskets leaking. Also expect piston slap. Otherwise an overall solid truck

I have a 98 K1500 4x4. 19 highway, 15 around town. Bought new, No problems yet. Had a friend with one he had a manifold leak.
