1995 Contour V6 engine light on

My 1995 Ford Contour V6 check engine light use to come on at high RPMs and the engine would miss. Took it to Autozone but they don't have the computer connection for under the hood. Changed the fuel filter and now the "check engine" light comes on and off at lower speeds--engine does not miss. Any one know what is the problem?

95's are OBD-I, which means you dont pull the codes like the 96+ vehicles with OBD-II. The CEL will flash. You get the codes from that. Read this.
