04 Sebring Conv. Side Mirror Casing Cracked

I have a 2004 Sebring Convertible Lxi. The driver side mirror casing is cracked. The mirror itself is fine and functions properly, but I want to get it fixed.

I have a lot of mechanics telling me I'd need to replace the whole mirror, but is there an easier (or more cost efficient) option? And is this something I can do myself?

I've found the mirror online for about 80 bucks, I also don't know if thats a good price or not. Plus its black, so I wont need to paint it.
