Bad Oil Cunsumption

I recently bought a Paseo about a month and a half ago and it is loosing lots of oil. I filled it to the top about about 2-3 weeks ago and now the oil is only half way between the full and add markings on the dipstick. Just wondering if anyone might be able to tell me what is wrong. Never mind I figured out that the oil pan was lesking because of a bad gasket. All is well now.:grinyes:
