01 TC 3.8 - Fuse issue

When car is off I hear a clicking from 2 places at the same time. One is coming from the top of the engine were it says 3.8, and the other is coming from the AS9 breaker from the fuse relay center. I unplugged the breaker and the clicking still clicked on the engine.

I also have a 0601 code. Think its the computer, or prom. Are there any teminals I can check? I never had this code till today, disconnected the negative, replaced the radiator, and hooked it all back up to see this code. No engine light is on, I just figured I'd check it because of the clicking I'm hearing. Any help would be great.

Anyone know how much these computers cost? Thanks

While the code appears to be a checksum error in the CPU, I would not start out with the most expensive item in the circuit. Make sure the battery terminals are bright & clean, verify you have a good battery. If the battery is the original, might be a good time to replace it. You mentioned you replaced the radiator, did you have to move or disconnect any wiring, disconnect any grounds? Check all the grounds anyway for corrosion and tightness.

The radiator was pretty simple, only wires for the fans. All on and dont see any grounds. Battery is 06.

No elec was disturbed, the only code I have is the one that says battery disconnected less than 50 starts. I still have that clicking every 5 seconds. Same fuse clicks too, even if I pull it out the other clicking still remains. It sounds like it is at the throttle body but when I touch IAC, etc., I dont feel it. Maybe its coming from under the air intake where the fuel injectors are. This does not happen with the car running, only when the keys are out of the ignition.

Well took it to the dealer and they found that the PCM is faulty. It's staying on when key is off. They wanted $1000.00 for the computer. I got one from another dealer in another state for $600.00. Will have to take it back to them to have it programmed and all. So this fuse issue turned out to be the PCM. Will update when I get the computer and have it installed just to be sure.
