I was changing the driver side valve cover gasket on my 2000 lincoln ls V6, all was well until I over tightend some sort of a sensor and it broke. the problem is, I don't know the name of the part to replace it. The sensor is located between the back 2 ignition coils on the drivers side of the engine. If there is anyone that can stop laughing long enough to give me the name of that sensor I would really appreciate it.
Thanks, Ted:banghead:

I suspect it is the Cylinder Head Temperature Sensor (CHT). Did it have a connector with two wires going to it, wire colors White/Violet and Brown/White? If so, it's the CHT sensor.

Rod, I've just searched the web attemptimg to find the replacement for the CHT Sensor and had no luck, do you have any suggestions on where to look. I've tried motorcraft and other auto parts distributers.

Try Fast Parts Network (http://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/index.cfm?siteid=318). I've used them for the power window regulator for my wife's LS. Good prices, good communication, fast shipping, and was shipped in the unopened Ford OEM Parts box.
If they don't have it (doubtful) then you're probably stuck getting it through the dealer or from a salvage yard.
