2k Olds Silhouette driver side window becomes a repeat offender. It has a center coiled spring (one of the part that keeps the power window aligned) behind the rain jacket is kept coming out of it retainer. Tension had been applied successfully when it was initially came out the very first time last year. This coiled spring had caused the driver side window to tilt forward and came off track Unfortunately applying just CRC Silicone base lubricant didn’t do the job, we had to remove the door panel to be able to get it fixed. Thanks to this forum, I was successful. But the second time when it happened I was 160 miles out of state and late at night with family. It only happens when the window is completely down. The door was shut at a normal forced but it caused the coiled spring dropped within the rain jacket down at the bottom that resulted the window to go off track again. We had to fix it with limited tools under a parking lot lamp post and a small flash light. Bringing back the window on track was bit messy but after a few tries in the dark it worked. Now recently, it happened again! What is the best way to keep this coiled spring secured in its retainer so it will stop falling off. Is there a tab or lock that goes on top of the center coiled spring.
