Passlock disabled but stalling persist

I have been trying to locate the source of my angst concerning my 3.8 1999 shutting off while driving. This has gone on for about a year and no gm dealerships can locate the prob. The codes it threw were already checked and replaced supposed bad parts. It has also not started and I will literally have to turn the key 30 to 40 times to get it to start. This happens at least every other day. it stalls at least that much too, sometimes more frequently. The first time i turn the key it wont have any lights. Nothing. If I toggle the ignition and quickly turn the key several times in quick succession, it usually starts. I have replaced with new ignition, new mass air flow, crank something or other and various new ignition relay, cables, plugs, etc.
So i finally had the passlock disabled. The security light stays on and everything was dandy-o for 2.5 days. now it stalled just after my wife started it and put it in reverse and then did the dreaded not going to turn over right now to me an hour later. So i can now conclude it wasnt the passlock. What am I left with? Another bad ignition switch? that would be 2 and they were bought in different cities. It shouldnt be shutting off while I drive much less not starting.
I am very close to trading it in. I was planning on driving it in to the ground but this is premature with only 117k miles. I want to get another 40k at least out of it.
Could it be a wiring issue and if i disconnect the battery now with the disabled passlock, will that screw up the car even more?

It still sounds like crankshaft position sensor or ignition switch. If you buy both items aftermarket and on the cheap you will at least take out two more variables.

Other forums state to check the ignition module.
This is for the control module which I assume is the same part:

This is for the ignitor:

Let us know how it's going.:runaround:

take your car into GM and ask for a Tech2 scan. Your problems sound like a ignition switch problem.

You may also want an OBD2 code reader for yourself.
