start off by having the fuel pressure checked,it may be the fuel pressure regulator putting out too much fuel. also plugs may be fouled and not firing also

Hello:grinyes:

Smells of gas, you know there was a recall on the fuel rail.
The old fuel rail was plastic house, the new one is all metal.
Check that first, if you did not take care of the recall, see you GM dealer, its covered, does not cost you anything. :)

By ancy chance, do you know when that recal was done, my freind just bought one. Is it too late ? And if not, why paper work might she need ?

I just bought my 1995 Aurora, 155K from an individual and right away noticed a pin hole in the fuel return line, the rail had already been replaced 13K ago under the recall now after 5 weeks of me calling dealers and Oldsmobile they've finally agreed to fix rest (3 gas lines from rail to tank). It's a saefty issue so there is no close date on the recall.
