2003 trans problem

When slowing down my trans downshifts so hard it feels like I was hit from behind. Anyone have any suggestions? Van only has 72000 miles

I would go straight to the dealer and have a check done on it before it is to late. It might already be to late. I had a simular problem but was not as bad. I went to the dealer to have the filter and fluid changed, it went away. The dealer may be able to check the transmission and let you know the problem. Mine has 74 on it and its a 01. Hope this helps..
