experiences with HID's?

I'm considering picking up a set of HID's and just wanted to see what people's opinions/experiences were.... with that in mind, if anyone out there has a set/has looked into getting a set, I'd be curious to hear any knowledge known. I do know that the two most popular sets currently are Phillips and Osram (sylvania).... I've heard that the Phillips sets give a greenish hue as the Osram's give a purplish hue, also that on some car applications due to bulb type it IS possible to lose your high beams, unless you pickup a Belof kit which is about $1300... also, i'd be interested in those who HAVE them if they had any problems with glare (beam controlled pattern), and if so how they fixed it! ..... anyways, sorry for the rambling... anyone have any input.... it would be much appreciated!

-Thanks
Randy

If you go to the classified section in this forum, you'll notice that I am selling a set of New HID lights. The real Phillips conversion kit. However, they are for an Accord. I'm not exactly sure if Civics have the same type of housing.

With HID you pretty much dont need high beams. Get some nice fogs instead!

Looks cool but the headlamp enclosure was not designed for that so your output/focus will be bad

unless you live in the city, you will STILL need high beams, HID's don't cut it due to the fact that they aren't focused the same way.

You can aim the fogs as high beams, and they can be used only as high beams. Or your driving lights (fogs) Will be hella bright. I live in the city and never use my high beams with HID>:alien: :bloated: :licker: :smoka:
