I need to know the fluid type that goes in the fluid drive in a 1949 Dodge. I have documentation that shows three different types. Low viscosity Mineral oil, 10w motor oil and Mopar fluid drive fluid. Any mopar dealer has no idea what a fluid drive is. Does anyone know what fluid goes in this?

Mopar fluid drive fluid is what was used in the dodge fluid drive system, although that is no longer available. Your next choice would be universal tractor fluid #134 for your fluid drive dodge. You can find this product thru your local NAPA dealer or tractor supply co.

You're probably safe going with the 10W motor oil...and it will be easy to find.
