Flat white as a primer?

Just wondering if flat white would make a good primer? Anyone ever try this?

Yes, provided the paint selected won't ruin the underlying plastic and in cases of extreme necessity, you can use flat white as a primer.

Yes, I use a kind of automotive 1K acrilic from Lechler from a couple years: at the body shop they will mix it in any (flat and not-metallic) base, it's very cheap (22-25 uds per kilos, to thin on a 1/1 or more ratio) and I use a PS safe (very smelly) thinner: it do a safe and perfect barrier to use later hot automotive colors. It's a bit tricky to spray, better with a 0.5 AB, and once sprayed is very smooth and well sandable. I use tree kind: a grey one to cover putty and check for faults, the white over as a base for bright colors, and a black as a generic (and very cheap) matt black.
