About the only complaint I have with my CTS is the lack of wood trim.
While browsing the web, I saw what I suppose is an aftermarket kit which really dressed up the interior.
Does anyone have any info on these kits ? Are they wood or plastic ?

I would really like to see a CTS that has no wood at all, but use a high gloss matte finished plastic for a more sporting feel than luxurious feel. Cause if I chose the Sport Deluxe package, it actually still has to have that Wood-Leather rimmed steering wheel, which I don't really appreciate in a sedan that is designed or offered to go against the IS300, C-Class, 3-Series, G35, A4 and X-Type.

Also, I miss the offering the sport edition that was offered with the Catera, which featured titantium trim and manually adjustable seats (instead of power).

With all due respect, I think that you have to remember that the CTS is still a Cadillac; Therefore, certain things are still expected. If one was to eliminate any of the "luxary" trappings, why not just call it a Buick or Chevy ? As far as comparisons, I think you are mistaken. It is my understanding that the CTS was developed with the 5 series in mind.
Let me know what you think.

Just as an afterthought....why would you prefer manual seats ?

Well, its just that the CTS is marketed to compete with the BMW 3-Series, Lexus IS300, Mercedes Benz C-Class, Audi A4, Infiniti G35 and Jaguar X-Type. Besides, I find that the Cadillac CTS still has too much luxury in mind, compared to the offerings by several other vendors.

Besides, a majority of the BMW 3-series sedans sold right now in Canada do not have power seats (manual seats), it just feels more of a Sport Specific Specifications. Do you realize how expensive it is to actually fix the motors for the electric seats?

Also, Electric Front seats costs about C$ 1800, which includes two 8-way power front seats along with driver's seat memory for the 3-series. To me, this option would be too costly, despite the rather basic adjustments that are offered. Adjustable Lumbar Support is optional.

I'd rather have aluminium, like they have in BMW, Audi, etc... :D Looks really great, only thing that looks like crap is cheap japanese plastic, also found in Skoda's ;p
