Eclipse owner background

So I have noticed the eclipse community seems to be dominated by people of hispanic ethnic background... what is your main ethnic background??

All of the DSMers I can think of up here are white, as are about 80% of the guys in Minneapolis. I think all of the other DSMers I know are Asian, I dont know that I have ever met a DSMer that isnt white or Asian.

White here. Most the dsmers I know are white. However I have met a few "latino" dsmers. It is funny though because you can pick out the latino dsms around here before seeing the driver. They are ussually mostly stock with a ridiculous shot of nitrous in it... and bald tires.

There one latino around here who you knew he was before you seen him. Red spinner Hubcaps on a Black ESi. I want to buy the car off him just to put it out of it's misery.

Thats how most of them are around here. Riced out like hell... its a shame

No kiddin man, I sold my DSM to a pretty much car illiterate female friend of mine, and even she knows better than fuckin my old car up like that.

i am white..... i think its funny how most people look down on us white people who drive imports and say we should drive muscle cars, honestly, i think imports are much more fun, and the fact that an in line 4 cyl can whoop a v8 just makes me laugh! just goes to prove bigger isnt always better!

Muscle cars can be just as fun... And trust me, sometimes a v8 can still whoop on a 4 cylinder depending on how things are built... I've seen the best of both worlds and enjoy both...

Me too. I wouldn't mind have a muscle and a 4-banger totally built and running at the same HP. I think that would be pretty sweet.

:werd: Its cool as hell to tell people (particularly old people that doubt the almighty-ness of the 4g63) that my 2.0 with a passenger held its own with a slipping clutch against a LS1 Camaro. At the same time though, I would love to have that Camaro or the motor out of it to put into something else. I can enjoy and respect just about anything car related. I mainly only get down to I4's, I5's, I6's, rotaries, and V8's I think V6's are the ultimate gay and if you need 10+ cylinders to be fast then you are compensating for something.

If most muscles cars didn't handle like bricks I would like them alot more. I think I'm more of a handling first, then horsepower kind of guy.

Although 4WD power makes me so wet :)

I definately agree, i would love something like a 69' camaro or a shelby mustang 500, or something along that line... I am very picky when it comes to cars, especially muscle cars, but i absolutely love my eclipse, i wouldnt trade it for anything.

what kind of cars have inline 5's?

The Chevy Colorado has an I5, but thats a truck so its automatically gay. Other than that, there is a hand full of Audi's that have I5's. My brother almost got an I5 AWD Audi for his first car and if it wasnt like 3k I would have gotten it for a project. Can you guys imagine a I5 AWD turbo?! Hold on, I will track down a pic of it.
