You can find them online ranging from $1100-1800 depending on the upgrades.

Click Here (http://www.phoenixhardparts.com/browseproducts/Buick-4T65E-FWD.HTML) for a lower price and good quaility, with 12K 12 mo warranty. Uprades include, things like, modified valve bodies, higher quality clutches, hardened internal parts, such as input shafts, gears and clutch drums. Normal everyday driving would not require these modifications.

Wow, thanks for the info HotZ28.
I'm guessing that professional installation and shiiping would add about a grand on top of that price?

I'm not sure any more. Rumor is you used to be able to get a tranny for $50 in New Orleans for a half-and-half. Since the hurricane, the prices have probably gone up.
Oh! You meant a transmission. Well, that's different. Some local rebuilders and repair shops in my area have 4T60Es and 4T65Es rebuilt for exchange for $375.00 - You do the exchange. That doesn't include a converter, which is always a good idea to replace with a transmission, and would be about another $175 for a GM unit. If you're paying a shop to R&R the transmission, the price will increase. I'm not sue what kind of warranty those might include, but you might want to check your local shops for a comparison.
