I have a 1999 Durango 5.9L with about 123,000 miles, with in the past month you name it and its probaly gone wrong with it. I have taken the truck to mechanics and I think that I have had less help than if i would have threw a dart at a wall...
Problem #1
When at idle or at a light the RPM will spike up to about 2500 then will drop down to about 200 then spit and sputter and die.
Problem #2
When you leave the vehicle for more than about 8 hours then try to start it the battery is completly dead. I have replaced the battery and the alternator so I know those are good.
Problem #3
When driving down the road, the transmission will kick out of over drive for no reason, and I think that the check engine light was designed to be permantly in the on position!
If any one has any solutions to any of these problems or has had the same thing please help save a dodge... Thanks

Sounds like you and i are having the same problem Jstringer, well, at least #1 and #2. Mine has 132,000 on a 5.2L
Have you found a resolution to the problem yet, i haven't had time to take a look, but yesterday i tried to start the stupid thing again and it was dead.
Thanks
