Need help with blowing air problem

Ok...here is the problem. Wife has a 2000 accord and just the other day she was driving and noticed that setting 1 and 2 does not blow really any air at all then you switch to setting 3 and 4 and it blows exactly how it is supposed to. I would guess that the problem lies with the unit in the dash itself and not anything else but that is why i am here asking as i am not sure. Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know how Honda deals with this, but on GM's there's a resistor module on the blower that fails when this happens...

Hey Jeff, is this something that can be found under the hood or in the unit itself? Very handy with all my cars as i fix almost everything myself but i have no idea about a resister module for the blower. Any other help would be awesome!!! Thanks,
Harry

Ok. Did some searching and i think that the blower motor resistor is the problem. Now....Would the location of this be under the pass side dash? or somewhere else? I believe most locations for this part where under the dash. Thanks is advance for any help at all!
