84 rabbit convertible stalls

my 84 rabbit convertible stalls under acceleration. At first it was only during startup, after a few minuets it ran fine. had midus do a fuel injector cleaning service (this was when the problem got worse) drove it home and it would not start at all. I put a new fuel pump and a new filter on and adjusted the air sensor plate. I got it to where it will idle ok, but when you accelerate, it will die. I can accelerate by pushing the pedal down slowly but it will only go to 2000 RPM for a few seconds and then it dies
