Weird sound...hard to describe

Whenever I start my car, before I shift into gear I hear this sound. It's really hard to describe but the best way I can think of putting it is it sounds like a loose bolt rattling around. Once I start driving it goes away though until the next time I turn the car on again. It's not too loud either very minute.
