I was driving along yesterday and my engine suddenly starting spitting then just stopped. Brought it home and pulled the spark plugs (they were pretty bad) and replaced them with AC Delco new plugs. Now I cannot get it to start. Can you please help? It may need a new fuel pump. Do I have to drop the tank to replace the pump, or is it accessable another way?
Thank you so very much, I have done these things, replaced the fuel pump and spark plugs (I made sure the gaps were right).
The problem I now have is that when I had the engine diagnosed the computer stated that I need to change the canister purge solenoid the Troubleshooting code from the computer at Autozone is #P1441. I do not know what or where that particular solenoid is. Is there any way I may have a picture of it? I sincerely hope so.
Again, thank you for all the help.

Many things can cause these engines not to start. Before condemning the fuel pump, you should check fuel pressure first. The tank will need to be dropped, in order to change the pump. If you have fuel pressure at the rail (spec is 38-48), then the next step is to check for spark.
