yes would anyone know where i could get a used engine for a 93 toyota (cheap)?

you could try a junk yard but use discretion. you could also look through classified ads in your area and see if their are any tercels labeled as parts only. hopes this helps.

Don't know if you found one yet, but I looked everywhere for a used 3EE, then got desperate and ran a want ad on craigslist and had 3 responses the next day. One guy had 2 of them, and they come with a 30-day warranty. $400.00 plus tax. The best I found prior to that on the web was $700 sight unseen.
