I am thinking of swapping my pulley in order to get more amps at lower RPMs. Does anyone have a smaller pulley? If so can you make some recommendations?
I am thinking of 4:1 ratio.
Thanks

Check the performance calalogs like Summit or RHS. They have pulleys.

The ones he orderd for his S-10 seem to make a milage diffenence.:2cents: ya its expetcted that an overdrive pulley would decrease your millage, as it takes more power to turn it....just put underdrive one on your crankshaft and water pump to make up for it :p
*edit*
dang that site is pretty expensive, they dont have an option for just the alt pully, they make you buy one for your crackshaft also, wich you dont need....
only reason i was lookin into getting overdrive for alt was because when i got my ac on and my headlights my volts drop way down and headlights dim when im at a stop, if i sit for a min or 2 truck even dies
but thats only when im driving at night and its hot out....unless i could find overdrive cheaper ill just turn ac off when i come to a stop :)

You can look at MSD, they have a 3:1. http://www.msdignition.com/1aps.htm

I'm no expert, but looking at your sig. You've got a lot of aftermarket electronics. Is it the stock alternator? If it is, it may well not be enough to run all that at once.
Or the alt may be failing, could be it's just it's time, or all that added load caused premature failure.

no, altanator is putting out 80amps at 2000rpm, the sub system doesnt get used at night, disturbing the peace, and at night is the only time it has problems, and thats just when i run the ac, headlights and idle...yes stock alternator
