Hello all,

I'm looking for some info regarding the central locking system. I seem to have a problem when i'm trying to lock the car with the remote & key on the drivers side. When i do, the locks tend to engage and go down but they jump back up again. I have to go inside the car to lock it manually. i would be greatful for any info.

Thanx in advance.

Icehoose.

I have an E36 with a similar problem. When I lock the doors they jump back up but, when I lock them a second time it always seems to work.

I had a similar problem. On my 318is I was able to press the plunger or use the key with the driver door open. As we all know you cant do this on a bimmer. Try greasing the lathcing mechanism on the door. If it doesnt move completely when you open or close the door it can cause all of these problems, they can get stiff, try PB blaster penetrating oil.
