hi, i am thinking of doing a 3 way set up and i was looking for speaker systems that come in 3 way and i was looking at these. http://cgi.ebay.com/ECLIPSE-SC8365-COMPONENT-SPEAKERS-SYSTEM-3-way-6-5-4_W0QQitemZ300142307397QQihZ020QQcategoryZ32819QQs sPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
and i am wondering what should i look for in speaker systems like that. i heard that the rainbow kicks where nice but out of my price range (300). also are they commonets on the eclipse one.

the purpose of doing a 3-way front stage is to get a good (dedicated) midbass driver. For $300 you will be lucky to get a good pr of midbass drivers.

And to add to that, your looking at spending 2 to 3 x the amount in proper installation and calibration. No short cuts can be taken with a setup like this, even though the one your looking at is entry level. a nice 2-way can be of better use, because you get to spend more money on less comps, the installation is less money and just plain easier. They usually drop in factory locations, and the calibraion of them is MUCH easier and forgiving.

if you are gonna put midbass drivers in the doors, you will need at least a bulkpak of dynamat extreme (or something equivalent) or the doors will rattle like a mother.

Do you have factory locations that will work for you, or thinking about doing kicks/modding somehow ?
