I know this subject has been addressed before, but I can't find the thread I was looking for regarding radio codes: Can a radio code be found via a Honda dealer with only the VIN? We bought a used car through Carmax and were told the code would have to be obtained through the dealer who would have to remove the radio to get the serial number to get the code. Thanks for your expertise and patience to this question?

Look on the inside sides of the glove box for white sticker with code #s

Here is a quote from another site on getting the radios serial # without removal of unit.

"Find s/n: Turn key to Acc. Make sure radio is off. Press and hold 1 and 6 preset buttons, and turn on the radio. The radio will display four digits, right them down. Then the radio will display another four digits, right them down. These make up the 8 digit s/n."

Thank you so much for your time...
After looking high and low for the "sticker", I found another web forum that suggested the 1,6 combo. I got the serial number, called the Honda 1-800 number, supplied them with the VIN, mileage, my name, address, phone, etc. and they gave me "THE CODE" in less than 5 minutes! Thanks again for your response--I was desperate...
