P0756 Code Error

Recently I've lost the ability to shift into first gear on my Automatic 96 Firebird 3.8. A p0756 error reads on my diagnostic tool. "Shift Solenoid B CKT Performance or Stuck off". At the same time, it's lost Cruise Control functionality. It's been driven with low transmission fluid for a few thousand miles. I'm assuming I've got a mechanical problem in the tranny? Is "Shift Solenoid B" a replaceable part? Where is it found?
