G'day folks,

I'm having a problem when I'm searching the forum for threads related to tamiyas FXX, and I was wondering if it was a known issue, or if it was my own special problem.

I've tried searching for fxx, FXX and Fxx to no avail, so any tips would be greatly appreciated.

The search feature won't accept anything under 4 letters long:
IE: BMF = no good
FXX = no good
Air = no good
This isn't just with you... It's a setting that, if I remember correctly, helps the search system work better.

Try this:

You can use Google to search only the AF domain for "FXX" and if you add in the string "Car Modeling" (which appears at the top of each page in the main and sub-forums) you should get some pretty valid results.

Search string: [ FXX "Car Modeling" site:automotiveforums.com ]

URL: http://www.google.com/search?q=FXX+%22Car+Modeling%22+site:automotivefor ums%2ecom

Excellent work Jay, thanks very much:cheers:

It's a pity that so many cars are known by tla's, maybe we should petition manufacturers to use a minimum of 4 characters when naming new models??
