Looks very sharp without any of those big wheels, big exhausts, etc. A "classic" BMW. Color's very similar to the Aristo I'm doing right now too :D

What do you mean no big exhaust? :p It's at least 2 times bigger than stock (which were, alhtough representative of the real car, too timy :))

Yes, it actually is a BMW colour: brokatrot metallic, chassis code 259. I don't know why, but when I saw the model box on 1999.co.jp I just saw myself building it in that coulour ;)

Actually, I had something else in mind ;)
What years' 5-series is this?
This is the 88-95(96 for touring) model.
daggerlee:
Big as in 7" fart can big
Yes, that's true :)
Slippery:
What are those rims??
Those are stock rims that looks suspiciously like BBS (might be wrong on this one). Actually, the kit is supposed to be a Schnitzer version of the car, but as the only Schnitzer thing about the kit were the graphics, I decided to make a regular model.
Everyone else - thanks for the kind words and you'll get your pics soon :right:

Awesome work!
The 1st and 2nd outdoor pic looks very much like a real car
The rims matches it very nicely.

Looks good! I love that color.
did you use some kind of foil sheets for window trims?
by the way, is it still snowing? seems like the middle of winter.
Spring has come in Japan and I've got spring fever as usual. ;)

Yes, I did use BMF ulrta brite crome (first time using it :o, and I'm not *too* impressed, but maybe it's because it's ultra brite and not just regular chrome.
As for weather, I have posted a thread about it: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?postid=875657#post875657

It's all stock. I just decided to paint the front spoiler, sideskirts, rear skirt and the area under the rear spoiler silver. I saw it like that on the real car.

I can honestly recommend this model. while the cassis detail is rather sparce, the body is reasonably accurate (the only thing I'm not convinced with are the bumpers), and the interior detail is very good, have no complaints at all except for the need to fill the backs of the front seats.
And thanks for your comments again, everyone.

THAT is one sexy paint job!
Lovely clean build that makes a Fujimi kit look like a Tamiya production.
Well done.
