I was thinking of upgrading my carb from the stock oem. I have a 350 V8 from the early 70's. It's orange so I think it's a chevrolet engine. Wondering if it's possible to change the 2 barrel carb to a 4 barrel one? Thanks

Of course any company like Edelbrock makes manifolds and carbs for this swap, once you find out what you have.

mm,
Exactly what model of car is it? Certainly do NOT use the color of paint to decide which engine it is. ALL the GM divisions had their own engines, and all had a "350", each bearing no resemblance to the others. Since it's been more than 30 years since it was built, it could have been out and back in a number of times, and could have been painted the "wrong" color (we've seen more than one Pontiac V8 painted Chevy orange...).
Also, simply changing from a 2-bbl. to a 4-bbl. may or may not improve performance. Most engines would require a cam change to really respond to the larger carb.
