Found an add on local Craig's list for an eco motor 40K miles for $400 bucks. Contacted the seller and asked if it was a totaled car and if so i was extremely interested for the whole car. It was an 03 sedan that had rolled over. He's doing a rebuild on another car needed the front cradle from this one. Sparked a deal with him, $1,165 I get

* 2.2 Ecotec + auto tranny with 40,XXX miles
* Engine wireing harness and ECU, PCM
* Fuel lines
* Power Steering rack and lines
* Exhaust manifold and cat back.
* Whole vehicle From the strut towers back plus complete interior + wiring harness ( Minus air bags { i got my stock ones})

... Delivered to the RDFABS shop via flat bed.

Everyone at RDFABS is turbo'd now, i sold my T3/t4 turbo to a customer and just ordered this...

This is all going into the Nity9, if anyone was curious. The motor is going to be fully built before it goes back into this car. I have to litterly tear my car down to nothing, and re-install a whole new car's wiring into mine. I'm going to have alot of 2200 parts up for sale. Well with me going off to college, not a lot is going to happen over the winter. My college is a ways away from the shop where the engine is going to be. My car is going to get stripped and i am going to hook up the new wiring with it at my house. The motor is going to get torn down to just parts and then send to a machine shop for some love and then rebuild the whole thing b4 it goes into my car. Its then going to be supercharged with the GM charger.

Lol, it was just a coincidence that it was a 4-door roll over. I am going to be snagging soo many parts off this donor car is not even funny. It has power locks, my car doesn't for one. Manual windows still which works for me, It DOESN't have ABS which i love and am going to swap MC over since flushing the brake fluid was a pain in my ass. Also i am stealing the whole front dash assembly and pretty much converting my current 99 sedan to an 03+. Its going to be a lot of work. But its going to be sooo worth it in the end.

... and the car is officially not going to be white anymore. I am going to pain the engine bay gloss black and do the car in a Halloween orange. Something a little darker than the sunburst orange metallic.

Then realized the CV shafts are different that the ones from the 2200 OHV since i was expecting a shit load of fluid to come out when i poped the passenger side out and nothing came out.

Well that was the easy part of it all.... Now since i am coverting a 99 to an 03 with ecotec... Let the pain in the ass of switching all the wiring over begin. I have no idea if anything its going to work like the way i think it should. I am tearing apart the 03 at RDFABS while my 99 sits at home till next summer.

I see what everyone means by how the interior HVAC is completely re-done and run off cables. I am going to tear it all apart anyways and use it. Hopefully but there is soo much glass in everything i am afraid its fubard already... I'll find out more tomorrow when i hopefully get the rest of the interior apart and then cut this car up from scrap metal.

Well today i found out alot about the wiring in these cars, more than i knew before. Its really fucking stupid for one how they have the radio wiring. The whole harness is in an H under the carpet coming from the BCU. Its on the passenger side and then runs out to all the rest of the wiring in the car. Pretty stupid if you ask me, but what ever. Its Gm for ya. Onto some more pics...

Didn't take too many pics today as i was on a mission to get everything off the car. But i failed in that aspect. Still need to remove;

*Brake booster + Master cylinder ( non abs :))
*Auto transmission shift cable
*Fuel filler neck( Mine is crappy and this 03"s is purdy)
*Fuel and brake lines from front to rear ( these are mint unlike mine)
*Steering shaft ( this one has a tilt function that mine doesn't and honestly, i'd like a tilting one if its not too much of a pain in the ass swapping a few things over.

Then when we plasma cut the shit out of this car, i am grabbing the rear trailing arm and suspension. Then scrap all the metal. My Super charger should have been here today, but UPS didn't leave it since i have to sign for it. Guess a $2,641 part isn't something to leave at the door. ;)

I wish i had that kind of time to do that but i live at work so(70+hrs a week).....cant wait to see some more progress on this project keep the pics coming.:grinyes: And did u say u were keeping the struts and shocks??? O and Derk how much for the cluster i was hopeing it was that kind i really like those ..dont know why but w/e. And where did u get the gauges i cant find ne half way decent looking 1's but urs look nice.

My radio bezel is up for grabs as my whole dash is going to the 00+ style and i cannot use it anymore. My a-pillar is staying since i can still use that. But if someone wants it, there is around 100+ man hours into it. I'll let it go for $50 plus ship.

I didn't see anything of the such bro. Under my consol was just the shifter and e-brake held together. Besides anything under neath that i have taken for my own personal use as i am swapping all of it into my car.

It needs some glassing help where it attaches up front as the mounting bracket got fucked up when the car rolled along with the top dash on the passenger side. It will make me a nice winter break from college thing for me to do along with polishing all the other shit i need to clean up on this thing.
