I have a 73 Nova and I was wondering if I should put a second carb into it and if I do (I trying to learn about this stuff as I go along) what would be the pros and cons of doing that? Thank you for any help on this matter, as it is much appreciated.

Thank you,
Geoff K.

P.S.- Any web sites that anyone knows of that would be a good starting place to car performance or even cars if general, please post those as well, since I am pretty new to cars as this is my first one.

Welcome to the forum. This site is good for those wanting to learn about performance. That and google is about all you need, especially something as simple as older GM's. Something you yourself can do is use google and read up, many "how-to's" have been answered on the net including complete tear downs and rebuilds, complete with pictures and very descriptive text allowing others to learn a thing or two.. Another thing is magazenes, the library, all good tools for those who "want to know".

To answer your question.

A single carb is plenty. with the same block/heads/cam/ ect adding another carb would benefit nothing, and actually hurt fuel economy, fowl up spark plugs ect.

If the engine has had major work done and the work done was proper and aimed at performance, a tunnel ram would be the best way to run multiple carbs on a single engine. Again this is only useful for race applications, and would be pointless on a street machine.
