I'm posting this here because Polygon is a moderator here.

So I've been trying to get a hold of Poly for a while now and finally got a call from him. He wanted me to post what’s going on. Monday night he was hurting bad in his stomach and finally decided to go to the emergency room. Turns out his intestines ruptured and he was rushed off to surgery. They ended up removing 1 foot of his intestine and the area it was in was very infected. He's doing much better now but still in the hospital. Just wanted to let everyone know.

Hope you feel better quick buddy, especially by the time you read this! We’ll all be rooting for ya!

Hrm...to me personally, I've heard of Poly or took notice that he was sick pretty often. I'd swear he had a weak immune system.

I hope the best for Clint. Look forward to seeing you back on the forums!!

I don't know Ploy but working in an Emergency Department and recently dealing with someone with a perforated bowel know how bad these things can be. He is going to be looking at wearing a colostomy back for up to six months if not longer. If he does not end up having one I will be surprised. Also imagine all the crap that is in your stomach and intestines leaking into your abdomen. He could have been septic if he waited any longer. I hope he is doing well and will have a fast recovery. Keep us posted.

Wow this was quite a shock. I've been out a touch for a while since I've started a new job and i just found out this from a common friend on gtalk.

Anyway to give an update I called him tonight, seems he just got out of the hospital and he made a miraculous recovery according to doctors.

It seems this started 6-7 years ago slowly getting worse infected till it burst, good thing he did not wait another day or he would've been dead, as it was the docs gave him a 50-50% in the OR. He managed to pull through though and now he is looking at a slow recovery to get his damaged organs up to spec. It seems they got damaged quite a bit all there years.

Anyway lets hope in a few days he will be able to give us an update himself.

Glad to hear he's ok. It would be a shame to lose a guy with such a cool license plate

Thanks for all the good wishes guys. :)

Like Neutrino said I was released Friday from the hospital. They told me that had I waited until the next day I would have died. They had expected me to be in the hospital another two weeks.

goldz28 knows his stuff. I do have an ileostomy bag right now, and I will for at least six months after which they can reconnect my bowel. Thank goodness I don't have it for life. I also still have these retention sutchers that hold my gut together and I get those out in a couple of weeks. Tomorrow I'll get this J/P drainage bad off.

I am have trouble walking and getting up and feel light headed at times but overall I'm doing good. Right now I am just doing exercises to help get myself independently mobile.

I just wanted to give everyone an update and thank you guys for the
well wishes.

Thanks again everyone.

Things are getting better. I can make up and down the stairs on my own. I am completely mobile, I just can't drive yet since I can get up out of the car. My goal is to be able to do that by the weekend. I'm also going to change my oil this weekend in the Stealth, with some help of course. At least I can do stuff from the top. Maybe next week I can wash the poor thing and do some other stuff. I'd just be happy to take it for a drive. I got some good news today, since I don't have insurance and I probably don't have a job the hospital wrote off about $57,000 for my nice little stay in the hospital. That leaves me with a little over $1,000 in doctor bills so far. I still need to see what the surgeon is going to charge and then talk to him to see if they can give me a break. He is one of the coolest doctors I've ever met. Hell, one of the injections I have to take for blood thinners is $300 for four of them. He had eight of them sitting around the office and just gave them to me for free.

Right now I am just trying to figure out this pain in my side. They did a urine culture and didn't find anything wrong there. So tomorrow I am going in for a blood test and to see if my blood is as thin as it needs to be. If that doesn't show anything then they want to run a catscan. They offered my some loratab, but I can deal with the pain. I'm more concerned about whats causing it.

Thanks again for all the well wishes.

I was told I am allowed to drive again. Lucky for me I can get in and out of my car. I took the Stealth out for a drive yesterday. Sadly I got no action. I also realized how dirty the Stealth and the GTC are. Since I lost my job I have plenty of time to wash them now. Unfortunately I can't change my oil by myself or change the brakes which NEED to be done. :shakehead

Well, I could do it myself but I'm not allowed to jack up the car or lift the rotors. :shakehead
