I know this question has been beat to death, but I'm still unable to locate the keyless entry code for my 1999 Ford Taurus. I acquired it from my Grandfather, who never used the code, and had lost the "owner's wallet card." The quick tips guide says I can find the code taped to the computer module in the trunk. I think I have found the module, but I really don't know what it is supposed to look like. Behind the left panel of the trunk is a metal box, maybe 9" x 9" with various cords coming out the bottom. Although I don't see the sticker, it is the only thing I have located in my trunk that I feel can be the module. Where on the module is the sticker supposed to be located? Am I looking in the right place, or is there something I'm missing?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

May not be in your trunk. Look under your dash above the brake pedal. I think it was a large white sticker with pink numbers on it. You can also take it to Ford and they can tell you what the code is.

Yep, this is correct. The code in your 1997 will be on the RAP module located above the brake pedal. The sticker with the 5-digit code will possibly be sandwiched between the RAP and another module, you may need a very bright light and have to close one eye to read the code.
