Thought id post this over at the dodge side as there is more traffic here .
Im currently looking at a 1990 Chrysler LeBaron VNT , its in decent shape but the really alureing fact is it is one of 25 (saw that figure on some site) just wondering if anyone knows of common problems with these cars . or if there is a message board somewhere that caters to these cars ?
The guy only wants 1500 for it , seems like a good deal . this one has the 5 speed . he says it has a bad clunk in it and needs a cv joint rebuilt . My main concerns are the clunk and the typical headgasket problems with turbo chryslers around 100,000 miles and if thats the case with this car too ....
Anyway just out looking for replacemnts for my 1996 Infiniti G20 , it was totaled last week in a crash , car shopping is just something to do while im recovering . its either going to be this or a 2000 subaru imprezza 2.5rs

Buy it!
I envy you. It is a very rare car and VERY fast, you can get it running in the 12s with very little modification if that is what you want. They also get great gas mileage. As for the head gasket, mine went at about 140,000 but that is common in any car that is turbo charged. If I knew where that car was it woould be out the door to buy it right now. A new CV joint will cost you about $80. The car is well worth over $1500, this guy doesn't know what he has.
