New struts passenger side still rough

I have a 99 3.4 SE. About a year ago I replaced the Tranny. The passenger side makes a click when stopping and bounces rough on potholes. I bought new KYB struts and mounts for the front. The right side still bounces hard when hitting bumps, maybe even harder now and makes a click when applying the brake. I was thinking about replacing the control arm bushings and tightening all the bolts on the carriage. I don't know what to do next. I love the car but something is wrong in the front end and I need some help. Any advice will be appreciated.

Thanks!

Replacing the bushings is a good place to start. Check to make sure everything is tight and that the struts are properly tightened as well. However, I had a 99 and it did exactly the same thing. Everytime you hit a bump you would hear a noise. As for the brake click check to make sure everything on the brake caliper is tight and that the pads are installed properly. This can cause a similar issue. Good Luck!

How many miles on your 99 ?
Also how did the springs look when the struts were replaced?

When the trans was replaced were the torque settings on the subframe rechecked after a month or so ??

I'd take it to an alignment shop and see if they can diagnose the trouble.
I'd be a pita to take it all back apart and replace the bushings or the springs.

Could also be the sway bar bushings.
I've replaced them on both my GA's and a few other N-bodys.

Good Hunting

My GA has around 120,000 miles. The torque settings were never rechecked. I have thought about replacing the control arm bushings only 20.00 bucks each for Moog bushings. I checked the link where the sway bar connects. I will check to see if anything on the carriage is lose. I read a TSB about the control arm causing a noise. The TSB said to loosen up the bolts and to re-tighten them. My brother left me this car. I really love it and appreciate all the help to keep it running.

Thanks
