Now Dont Quote Me Or Anything But You Should Not Need An Amp..Amps are Always Better To have And By Replacing The Stock Speakers With Aftermarket The Stock Radio Will Deffinately Underpower Them But Since You Are Replacing The Radio You Will Have No Problem. But To Answer YOur Question It Is Really Up To You But If You Do Decide To Go With And Amp Do It Right The First Time And A Good Amp You Should Be Paying About One Dollar A Watt.

Hope this Helps

Whether or not you need an amp is a decision that may come down to how loud your truck is going to be when you are down with it. I used to have an old 77 F-250 with a 460/C6 and dual exhaust with 4 foot long glass packs, that truck was so LOUD that I had to put an amp in or I couldn't hear the stereo.
