ok so i took apart the motor, and when i cleaned out all the dust i took the actuator off and i think i may have messed up the coils that power the motor or something, because i plugged it in to test it and nothing happened... however when i turn it manually the gear connects fine, and i didnt do that whole rubber tube thing... why will it turn manually but not when it is plugged in? what do the rubber replacements have to do with anything if it appears to turn just fine when i do it manually?? any ideas on what i could have messed up?

also, there are two tiny springs and one little metal ball that looks like a bb that fell out and i cant find where they go... i may just need a new motor..

I dont know about yours, but on my 87 firebird, the little bb goes on the tip of the threaded shaft. The springs push those little copper looking blocks to that shaft. the rubber pieces worked great on mine also. another problem you could be having, is no power to the motors themselves. use a multimeter and have someone push the switch for the headlights, to see if you are getting any power to that one. This post may be REALLY late, but if so, at least the info can be passed along to others.
