I didn't know counterfeiting batteries was such a big business... Taken from http://www.globeandmail.com/servlet/ArticleNews/PEstory/TGAM/20021114/UNATSM-4/Headlines/headdex/headdexNational_temp/20/20/29/
The RCMP have charged two Toronto-area men after seizing more than 900,000 counterfeit Duracell batteries that had a street value of more than $2.9-million. The 942 cartons of batteries, labelled as Duracell Ultra AA size and Duracell Ultra AAA size, were intercepted by customs officials in Vancouver before they were turned over to RCMP for investigation in Brampton, Ont., northwest of Toronto. Charges have been laid against Joel Jacobs, 36, of Thornhill, and Simeon Cronefeld of Vaughan.
