i have a 2004 2500hd ext. with 245-75-16. what is the largest tire size i can put on this truck without any type of lift? also with larger tires will it throw off my spedo?

Shoot with a HD you could probably squeeze some 35's in there with a torsion bar crank (on stock wheels of course) and an alignment. So less than a hundred bucks. 33's will fit right now as is EASY. Larger 33-35 will throw it off by about 10% give or take.

Cranking the torsion bars throws the alignment off. 285/75/16 should fit as-is

Yeah, thats why I said tb crank and alingment... :naughty: As long as you dont crank to much alignment is easy to re-achieve. The only down side to a TB crank if you crank to much is rough ride as you reduce downward wheel travel and over stretching shocks and over-cranking without new UCA's is premature ball joint wear. 1-2 inches on an HD is easy and no real noticeable difference in ride and performance. There are guys with HD's and Ford index keys with new shocks getting 3" front lift for a few hundred dollars. Gotta love those HD CV axles.
