Caravan w/ high vibration during acceleration

I have a 1997 Caravan , 2.4L, that has a hard vibration when I accelerate, usually during a climb, moderate to heavy, with or without traffic. This is a random occurance, as it does not always happen. When it does, I have to stop acceleration, then punch it to get anywhere. This does not always work. I need to know the reason / problem so I can correct it.

Could be driveaxles but, I would lean towards the torque converter. You could try changing the tranny fluid and filter. Draining fluid the normal way only drains about 1/3 of the fluid so you'll have to change it multiple times, driving a day or so between changes. I would get a pump and pump it out the fill tube after the first change. Another way is to pump all the fluid out via the cooler lines. If it comes to a TC change ask an expert first.

Any fluid besides ATF 3 or 4 could give you problems.
