I got some shots of a small line what looks like running from the water pump into the engine? it has a long crack and squirts out fluid when the engine is running. i dont know what line this is though where its going to or what it does, but it looks like it has something to do with the cooling system and why its leaking. heres some pics, BTW this is on the 98 GTP i still have. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a367/pctvman/coolantleakgp001.jpg http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a367/pctvman/coolantleakgp002.jpg

These elbows will crack easily and subsequently leak. They are cheap and not hard to replace. Actually I am not certain if they carry coolant to or from the intake manifold.

That elbow carries coolant from the intake, through the belt tensioner, and to the heater core. It's a very common issue on 3800-k's. Go to a GM dealer and buy the OEM part (not very expensive $8-$10), the Motormite/Dorman versions are of inferior quality (very non-typical of their parts), and tend to crack at the mold seam. Inspect your belt tensioner while you're in there, and replace if it looks questionable. Also, if you haven't changed the t-stat recently, now's a good time while the cooling system is open.

It is pinched in there by the tensioner and has o-rings on each end. you have to loosen teh belt tensioner assembly to get it out.
