Don't know if this has really been discussed in here, but here is the new manifold from skunk2.

It should fit the a6, since a y8 manifold will fit on an a6.

Well for b-series it should give you about 8 hp. You'll feel the difference on top end.

What? For the manifold? They sell the b-series b-tween 270-340. So the d-series mani should be around that price.

OMG!!! i want one!!! but i heard that this should be one of the later mods to do, why is that? and does the manifold include the throttle body and everything?

The manifold will not include the throttle body.

Why would you do it as one of your last mods!?... Why would you do it as one of your first mods?

Say you've got a totally stock motor and you go and put a bigger intake manifold on it. What do you think it's going to do for your car? Your TB is still the same size, your cam is still the same size, its still breathing out a skinny ass exhaust manifold to a junked-up skinny-ass exhaust. Your ECU is still trying to make the car run like a totally stock DX or Si or whatever you have..

First you want to make the car breathe better by improving the stuff that Honda chinced out on. I/H/E. Now that everything flows well you might want to look in to getting a more agressive cam and making more HP than a stock 106hp D16 cam. Might as well replace the valves and valve springs too, that way you don't float a valve when you're making HP in the higher rev ranges. Now that you have an agressive cam you might want to look at tuning it. Get a cam gear, perhaps some sort of iginiton system, and maybe (depending on how far you're gonna go) look at upgrading fuel delivery system. (A LOT of guys are going with FPRs and stuff like that right now on basically stock engines.. I don't think they're nessicary till later in the game when you actaully need more fuel) Now that you've got the ehxaust system upgraded, everything flowing free, and a cam demanding more air and fuel it would now be a good time to get an bored out throttle body and an intake manifold that will really benifit from your new ECU that you just got specifically tuned for your car. ;)

Take care of the basics first...
