How to disable just the auto door lock feature?

Hi,
I have 96 Buick Regal Custom 4DR (3800 Series II engine). I have tried to disable the auto door lock feature (that engages when I shift to D or back to P) by removing the Door Lock fuse. But that disables the door lock button on the door and my keyless entry remote. Basically, with the fuse removed I have to use the key to lock doors.
Is there a way to disable just the feature that locks/unlocks doors when I shift between D and P? I would like still to be able to use the remote and to lock doors with the button next to the door handle.
Thanks.
