Boost doing funny things... boost spike?

Hey all, new problem with the Talon. Once I got the vac lines running right, I was getting some 19psi action which was pretty annoying seeing as how I dont have the fuel system to tackle that. I suspected a faulty BCS and I was right... I just bypassed it all together and she held steady at 10psi. That is until 5k rpms and then she starts going up again. We were doing a 3rd gear pull and once it was spooled, it just pulled pretty constant like it should from 3k on up until we started to sink back into our seats again. I got a bit confused and looked down, she was at 16psi and climbing at like 6k rpms. Testing found that 12psi came at just a tick after 5k. I am suspecting that dinky ass o2 sensor housing (1g, ported pretty good, but its still a 1g) is just not keeping up... what do you guys think?

Maybe creep? When i first installed my evo3, no matter where i set it, by redline i was at 19 psi. With a tubular O2 housing it does the same thing. When i turned the boost down to 10 psi, it would last maybe until 4500 rpms and just creep back up. I wonder if the O2 housing with the dump tube would work in controlling it. I have the ported exhaust mani, and ported inlet and outlet on the turbo, not sure what else would cause it.

External wastegate FTW
I tried using an internal with my set up and that shit would creep like no other. I personally think they are shitty and would never use one again.

Please let us know what kind of turbo you are using. If it is an EVO or BIG 16g than your in luck. These turbos are known for getting boost creep, it is because the WG flapper is too small. You can fix this by ordering a 34mm wastegate flapper from any of the well known dsm shops. You'll have to take your turbo off and install the larger flapper, but well worth it if you want to controll your boost. Otherwise, just get an external WG.

Check sig homie, Big 16g. Thanks for answering the question, I appreciate it all. Its just going to be a fuck it for now kinda deal. Yeah, its a PITA but by next year I should be running atleast that on E85 so I guess I will just have to wait until then. The new turbo (either a EvoIII 16g or a bastard 20g) will get a 34 mm flapper, but I am kinda married to the internal gate as I am going for the stock look.
