Hi,

I have just bought a totalled Subaru Outback '99 with 80,000 miles on it.

The car looks great and most importantly it runs great.. was driving the whole day and could not spot anything wrong with it.

The guy from the body shop who has repaired the car said that the frame was not bend (it does not mean that it is true).. The fact that air bags were not blown makes me feel that the collision was not strong enough to bend the frame (or they just had faulty air bags)

Well anyway I have paid $4,600 for it. Do you think it was to much?

Would love to hear your opinions

It could've been hit in the rear...that wouldn't make the airbags deploy. I don't think you paid too much, if it was all repaired and the frame isn't bent.

Take it to a different shop that you trust, have them inspect the vehicle, and see if they think its safe. Also, I believe a CARFAX report will be able to give details on the accident(s).
