Decal Help...

Guys,
I'm currently doing the Tamiya Bennetton B188, and having a little trouble with the decals breaking up and tearing. I have done a number of tamiya kits, and have had little or no problems with the decals before.
This kit is approx 15-17 years old, and even the decals don't look that bad, is it possible the decals may be damaged from just age.... If so, is there any way to fix them?
Thanks
Lloyd

Try getting hold of some brush-on/paint-on liquid decal film that is used in home made decal making. I have some by Badger for a few euros only. Coat it on the decals beforehand and that should/might solve your problem.
I have read (but never tried!) of people also airbrushing regular clear over them but I would prefer using a specialized product for this.

I don't know of any way to fix decals going bad with age, but you should be able to pick a new set up reasonably cheaply.

I agree with Captain Mark.Grab yourself a new set instead. The Museum Collection ones listed at HobbyLink Japan are excellent quality as well.
