I currently have an '00 ITR which is a great car, but not a great daily driver. I think the S2000 would be significantly worse to drive everyday, unless, of course, you own a race track.
So, I am holding out until I can see the next Supra, which I'm pretty confident will be out soon. New 350Z is sharp and will be worth a look once the dealers get rid of the $5000 markup. RX-8 will also be worth a look, but I think it will be short on torque (same problem w/ the S2000 and my ITR).
Hurry up Toyota.

RX-8, because it should handle better than the Z (FirstDrive results are out from Edmunds, not much info though...), has 4 seats so its practical, and rumored to be loaded at 31k.
Can't complain about that, and the styling is pretty darn good.

350Z.
RX-8's not my thing(don't like the four doors),Would'nt buy a RSX(or any Honda for that matter)Cause' I don't like to follow the masses, S2000's motor's too much like a motorcycle for my taste, & I have no clue what the new Supra even looks like.
Peace.

The new RX-8 only has 131 torque.
Definitely 350Z

I wouldn't be holding my breath for the new Supra to come out. Nissan are just unveiling the new GT-R and it won't be out until 2005.
I doubt that Toyota would be in a possition to release a new Supra before then either.
Performance cars need a build up before they sell, not like your regular family cars that get unveiled and released the next month - they will sell anyway. It would be strongly against the trend for Toyota to unveil the new Supra less than a year before it's release IMO.

I would take the 350Z. It's out, there is an emergance in aftermarket parts for it and it's a halfway decent looking car. There will probably never be another Supra. If Toyota does come out with a new sports car it will be called the 5000GT or a variant of that. It probably will also be competitive with the R35 (scheduled for release in 2005) and will have roughly the same release date (probably within 6 months)

I'd probably have to say the 350z. The 8 and the s2000 have no torque whatsoever. And about the supra, if one ever does come out, it will be at least three or four years, and when it does come out, will be very expensive. Take the z.;)
